Post event tire care

Hey all, I’ve been wondering if there is any specific post event tire care process such as removing all the rubber boogers from the tires and if there is a preferred way of doing so if it is done? Or is it a waste as they will rub off/new ones form at the next event?

A pic of my RS-4s from my recent event.

Best thing I have found is to flip the tires on the rims. Even out the wear.

I've seen much, much worse. I personally would probably just send them next time as-is and let that scrub off.

If you must remove the OPR, an oscillating multitool works very well for the job.

Also good to try and avoid picking it up in the first place - stay on line and out of the marbles on your cool down lap as much as possible.

leave it. First lap at next event will be a bit vibration-y, but they will rub off quickly.

not worth the effort. I do try to clean all the boogers off the wheels when I can though.

Bag them up for the winter. If you can seal them off in a bag and remove most of the air around, best.

Ozone kills tires in storage (and lots of other stuff). Utah is a rubber killing state for long term storage.

Don't worry about the gummy's, Drive faster next year and kill those tires.
