Help me fit in the car! Smaller wheel?

Are there any smaller wheels with airbag available at an affordable price? Non-airbag wheels aren't street legal.

You can have the stock wheel modified so that it is flat on the bottom, that may give you another inch or two of knee room. Here is an example, there are companies in Europe that do this too.

This has been well regarded in UK:

The price is out of my range, unfortunately. I was dreaming of something below $500.

If your car has the lower center stack with the storage bin and CD holders, maybe a GT3 center console delete kit will help you out. Those are only around $250, still expensive for what it is, but within your budget. Other places in the US sell these 2 parts as a kit for less if you shop around.

Thanks guys for helping me out. The car is a gutted race car. The problem is that the sides of the seat prevent me from moving my knees out. I'm currently designing new seat mounts which will be machind out of aluminium. They will help me get the seat on the floor.

I did some testing using some pieces of pipe as a steering column extender. It seems I may be OK if I bring the wheel closer, past my knees.

There are companies that sell an extension piece to move the steering wheel closer to you. So you have a street legal gutted race car and need to maintain the steering wheel airbag?

Thanks. I truly appreciate the help I'm getting here. I just ordered an extension. Yes. the airbag is a safety item, the cage is bolt-in, the rest is just a long story :)
