DIY Airdam REV 2

Last season I spent an entire weekend making a splitter only to have it rip off on lap one, its amazing how much force these things take. Here's rev 2, aluminum resin composite reinforced with wood and steel cables. I used a roll of red plastic for the dam and wrapped it in tape to match the car. I think it came out really well..lets see if it holds up and is worth the TT weight penalty.

I have been interested in building a splitter and sealing it to my 996 TT bumper.
Two questions:
1. Is the splitter curved up at the front? Wouldn't that create lift?
2. How are you attaching it underneath? Below is a pic of a 996 TT:

Mine is attached further back. What are those bolts connected to? Also I is your turbos NASA TT car? How does it hold up to the field?

Hopefully it makes it to lap 2 this time! Looks really good, and it sounds sturdy.

I should clarify - I have a 996 TT style bumper on my 986 and am thinking about adding the splitter as some Miatas in the field have picked up 1s on a ~1:15 course with a big splitter and lexan rear spoiler.

Thinking about mixing up some flow viz and experimenting.
