This is a good question. I bought a used Spec Boxster, it handled poorly on the first outing. One of the PSS9s would not adjust. Did some research in the paper work I had for the car and it had ~ 18,000 race/track miles on it. I caledl Brillstein and told them how the car was acting, they said it was time to rebuild the shocks. The car was bouncing a number of times on bumps even with the shocks on stiff.
