Do solid transmission mounts cause timing issues?

I would like to upgrade to solid mounts on my track-day boxster.

How are they with regard to NVH?

Do they trigger the knock sensors causing timing to be pulled, or is this a myth? From the 996 forums I get the impression it is a myth. What are your experiences?

Cheers.

I've been running the semi solid ones for four years without a problem. A nice little bonus getting rid of the bulky stock units frees up a lot of space for working on the car.

The extra space is a nice bonus. Could possibly help with cooling too. Unfortunately I just bought some polyurethane to modify the stock ones into semi-solid mounts. I'll try that and then make some steel solid mounts. That way I can try both before I make a decision. The Boxster racing scene is still very small over here so I can't test somebody else's car.
