Does anybody have this? Is it worth the 200 introductory price? It has some functions I like such as the airbag, abs, etc resets my regular obd2 won't do.
This is the same as the iCarsoft POR II scanner which can be bought direct from iCarsoft for much less. It's basically a self contained OBD scanner with a Porsche menu. It can reset the service interval light. But it can't really read as much as a Durametric. You can't see the number of over-revs for example. Not bad for a simple code reader, but a better investment is the Durametric.
You should ask Pedro what makes them cost more from him. I'm really interested to know, but he's not addressing the question on the 986forum. I'm not a member over there and have zero desire to be.
Surely there must be something special about the units bought from him, right? Maybe functions not available on the current model?
Thank god for this forum and everyone on here that helps with info. I almost bought it till I checked for a used one on eBay. Lo and behold there was a new one with another name but identical shape and buttons. So thanks guys for setting me straight. I might do Pedro's plenum/throttle body combo
