minus sizing wheels

I am planning to autocross my 986 and I have a set of 15" slicks from another project..... has anyone tried to put 15" wheels on a Boxster? I do have the appropriate size DOT race rubber inbound I was just wondering since I have that big stack of 15" tires in the garage.

Assuming by 15" you mean reduced tire diameter,
I would think that would be a net win for auto crossing

Better power curve out of the corners, lower top speed.

You might have a smaller contact patch -- and you might not find them wide enough,
although I've got some 15" rims at almost 10" and 12" widths for sale.

Just check the wheels clear your brake rotors.

I have 9.5" wide slicks mounted on wheels for my aborted camaro project. On the other hand yesterday I took delivery of a set of 17" BFG R1 (S) tires 225/40 front 275/40 rear. Yah the rear is big but I got a killer deal on them $289 for the rear pair $119 for the front and they are all brand new current year production dates.

I'm also looking for a roll bar that I can use for hillclimbs it can mount like stock but it has to have the top tube be straight across and the rear stays have to be fish mouth cut and welded to the main hoop. anyone have thoughts on this one as well?
