AutoClub Speedway DE

I spent yesterday at the AutoClub Speedway Roval in prep for the PCA Festival of Speed in April when I'll go head to head with Topless in the time trial. I drove in the open passing group.

In regards to lap times, I can't give away too much, but let's say that the 2min barrier isn't a worry. Sunny but cool day in the 60's made for perfect weather and a brand new set of NT-01's made it all the sweeter. Oh, that and being faster than most of the Mustangs and Camaro's with double the horse power.

Here are a few pic's. Photos courtesy of CaliPhotography.

Good job Thomas! I am looking forward to the Festival this year. I have seen 1:58 on the Roval but unfortunately not in the official timed runs yet. Maybe this year.

It looks like we may have as many as 90 TT drivers so I am pushing for 3 TT run groups to reduce traffic, reduce lap time differentials and improve safety during our sessions. If you like this idea, send an email to the registrar voicing your preference and pass the word to others. It will only happen if they hear from drivers.

See ya in the grid and bring your "A" game.

Looks like fun. I wish I was on the left coast to challenge you guys.

Do you have to have a full roll cage or change out the roll bar for PCA time trials?

I have never seen one of these events in the Southeast. The only timed events here are SCCA and NASA where you need to have a roll cage.

Crazy Weather and VIR

I sized up my tires to the Nitto NT01 235-40-18 front and 275-35-18 rear. They slice 5 second from my last years time and my consistency was very good.
