Buttonwillow Raceway Tips

SoCal track friends, I will be going to Buttonwillow Raceway on Saturday. 55 previous track days but this will be my first time at this track (previous attempts have been rained out). I've watched some YouTube videos to get a feel for the layout and sightlines. Do you have any specific tips? What would be a good time in a 986?

One of my favorite tracks! We were there in Nov. and the weather was perfect. A lot of corners so don't get discouraged. It takes a while to learn it. There are about 7 different configs so a good lap will vary. PCA/POC usually run config #1 and my brother and I have both run a 2:13 (BSX record). Speed Ventures usually runs config #13 which is about 10 seconds shorter (2:03).

There are a few turn by turn vids for Buttonwillow that are pretty good. Late apex is your friend here.

Hah! Regan did a bit of offroading, eh?

We're running CW13 configuration. Alex was planning on joining me but he's sick. I'll post some updates on FB through the day.
