1 Day DE/TT in SoCal Feb 25 Pomona Fairplex
Another PCA HPDE and Time Trial is scheduled for Pomona Fairplex. The track is fun and it is within the LA basin. What else are you doing in February? Come on out and play!

Dave, I'm already signed up! Pomona is a great track and lots of fun. If you've never been on a track before this is a great place to give it a try. Come out and meet us.

Last few days to register for this great event. Four run groups separated by experience and predicted lap times means you will be sharing the track with your peers in uncrowded (15-20 car) sessions for maximum track time. A very Boxster friendly event.
Weather prediction is sunny and 65F. Come on out and play. P.S. thstone has been getting awfully quick lately. Lets see if he can take me to school on this course. ;) |
Hah! Thanks. I'll be doing my best to give you a run for the money!

Sounds like I'll be at this event also.. I'll bring an extra set of axles with fresh CV joints!!
Tropical Leigh afterwards?? LOL  B |
News Flash!
PCA-SDRs own Russell Shon takes Top Time Of The Day at the Fairplex Pomona Time Trial today! Bravo Russell !!!! There were 77 cars on the grid and some very well known fast drivers in GT3s, GT3 RS, GTX, and some fully stripped and caged, race prepared 911s. Russell showed them all his tail lights in a Boxster street car on quality tires. Steve Grosskemper, Chuck Sharp, Paul Young, and Mike Avitt turned some blistering times but it wasn't enough this weekend for 1 golden lap with Russell at the wheel of his 2001 Boxster S. |
And the saddest sight of the day was Tom's 2011 GT-3 RS going back to the dealer on the flat bed with a horrible knocking sound coming from the engine.

Here is a video from the "Boxster street car" :

Update - Tom's GT-3 RS suffered a failure of an as yet unidentified component in the Vario-Cam system. Timing was then permanently off and the car knocked like crazy.

Thanks Dave. The new adjustable lower control arms/add'l camber really helped the car grip.
BTW, the POC is running at Pomona in two weeks, you should consider coming out. |
All times are GMT -8. The time now is 03:57 PM. |
