woo-hoo!

Sweet! All of us racers now have a place to call home.
And to business...
Tomorrow there's an AX with the SCCA and it's looking like rain. In 5 years of AXing I've never had the opportunity to race in the rain. I've got good R-comp Nitto NT01's on the car now, but I also have a set of all-season Kumho ASX's. Anyone have thoughts on my tire choice or how to set up for the wet?

I'm no autocrosser, but I'd say unless there is significant standing water the NT-01s would be the best bet. That is, depending on tread depth, of course.
The ASX is not exactly a performance tire.

yeah, as a rule of thumb, if there is standing water, don't use your R-compounds. If it is just damp, or even if it is raining hard, as long as there isn't puddles every where. You'll probably have more grip than Street tires would. Just go out and have fun lol.

racing in the rain is a challenge to everyone :P

Thanks Pat, I like that one too.

As you can tell by the direction of the spray, brake lights on, wheels turned sharply, all was lost. I was just luggage at this point and along for the ride. It was a fun ride though.

Alas, there was no rain. The Nittos hooked up to help me to a class win and 13th overall.
