Battery question

I put the battery on the trickle charger yesterday for about 10 hours. The car started and I was off, came back from my drive and turned her off and then tried to restart it. The car would not start, so I charged it again today for another 10 hours, it started up right away took it for another drive and came back home. Went back out another 20 minutes later tried it again, it turned but didn't have enough juice. The battery has 6 round circles on it which I checked and some are low and others are ok. The car is a 2003 Boxster and assume its the orginal battery. Anyone have suggestions on what to do if I need a new battery wheres the best place to get them. I live in Milwaukee, WI and never recieved a manual with the car.

Thanks

Hmm... its either not holding charge for crap, or its not being recharged... Id go to autozone and test the battery or something, if its fine, then your alternater must be jacked up.

Yes you need a new battery

And next year put the battery on a maintainer over the hibernation period.

A list of batteries and their sources/prices is athttp://mike.focke.googlepages.com/optimabatterymountingkit.

I listened to a gal get hustled at another make's dealers for $168 installed, I needed one too and mine for the same car cost $60 with a better CCA and a better warranty.

You need not go with a Porsche branded battery, in fact you are throwing lots of $ away if you do.

There is a downloadable version of your manual at RennTech. Not sure if you have to be a paid member to D/L it.
