today was a GREAT day.
woke up, took a shower, called GF (shes busy helping a friend w twin 7 month old babies), what to do on a 56 degree weather?
pulled the car out, washed and z2 applied.
what to do now?
took the top down to show my dads friend how a boxster top goes down, he was pretty impressed. he noticed that i was low on gas, i said ill be right back, ill go get some gas..... came back 4 hrs later w empty tank again lol
went all around chicago and hit some nice driving spots around my house and stopped by a few beaches (all full of people, cars, convertibles, motorcycle, people walking every kind of dog on the planet, riding byclicles...
of course took a camera along, and a GPS if needed, i like to just leave and not worry where i turn, but made it home without plugging the sucker in.
here are some pics i came up with...hardtop is off and love no damn top on the car period.
car runs fantastic, (300 miles since the CEL maf thing, and not returning), i changed the sparkplugs and serpentine belt the other day as well, now all thts left is brake pads change (sitting here waiting for installation, probably will do it after the tech day, hopefully ill pick up a trick or 2 that day since they are showing how to replace them, although i know how to do it, but i rather see it and then do it, than the other way around hehehe)
even saw 4 fellow boxsters on the road (got a wawe from each, wawe returned of course, play nice) and a few other porsches as well.
funny story, pulled over by the dock on one of the beaches in Vinetka and ther was an older gentlemen fishing, he was VERY old, hes like 'nice car' as i was walking out, i said thx, and then he started screaming "help" because the fish was too big for him to reel out, so it was nice helping him. i know squat about fish so cant say what kind it was, but it was a pretty big piece of meat
