Dude, I think you have enough pictures of your car already. Stop skippin class! :D

fab 03-07-2007 04:15 AM

you had to be lying on the pavement for those shots....

threpwood 03-07-2007 04:33 AM

Looks awesome

John V 03-07-2007 05:36 AM

Looks good, but the camera is really crooked in the first few pictures.

porsche986spyder 03-07-2007 06:41 AM

I see you re-did the stripes on the back again. They look to thin now. Did you cut them down or something? They are way to far inward and closer together now also. Other than that, the pictures look good.

Bavarian Motorist 03-07-2007 06:51 AM

You need to get that hard-top off!

dcporsche99 03-07-2007 07:34 AM

Wow dj, your car must be the cleanest car around!! :D

BTW, didn't you just paint those calipers this past summer and add the PORSCHE decals? Also, didn't you just add a silver Boxster emblem? Did the decal and emblem not hold up during the winter?

Anyway, pictures look nice!

R U sure class was cancelled?? ;)

djomlas 03-07-2007 07:34 AM

thx for the comments guys.
-i actually wasnt lying at all, just put the camera low to the ground and took the pics
-and as for the stripes...remember the peelinc clearcoat thread, that is the only way now that they will stay on, if they are too wide on the bottom it has nothing to hold on to, but soon they will be actually painted on permanently, they way i like them :)
-take the hardtop off? :) dont you see the snow? it snowed some more last night too damn it
- emblem on the trunk was actually a brushed a luminum decal, it held up fine, but when i got the car part of B was missing, so it always bothered me, so i got the new emblem, i like the stock color and like to switch up things from time to time.
and yes i did just recently put posche decals on calipers, but i really like the brembo ones better, i know i should hae gone w them rightaway, o well...decals actually held up fine, its just the preference
- and yes the class was cancelled, took me 2 hrs to get to downtown, and then nobody there..usually its nice when class is cncelled, but loosing 4 hrs there and back on travel is no fun

Bavarian Motorist 03-07-2007 07:40 AM

No excuses  Take it off!

This is heading in a very undesirable direction all of a sudden

I told you to use a hair dryer to get them to curve around the inside of the tail lights(where they are too wide). You have to remove the tail lights to get them in there. I don't know what kind of decal material you you were using, but it obviously was not the right stuff. It should not peel or buble up. I can send you a sample of matalic silver if you like. I think that color looked better anyway.

I had to drive to the same school as dj on the worst snow day this year because class wasn't cancelled....close to 6 hours of total driving that day back and forth.....sucked

Most folks are shaving their emblem off and you're putting one on.

I wouldn't put Brembo stickers on your brakes unless you've got Brembo brakes as someone might call you a poser.

That's an interesting color. I've only seen one other Boxster that color and it belonged to a topless dancer. You could see her coming from a long way off. She named the car Kermit. She also ended up trading it in on a pink Jeep Wrangler.

I believe our stock brakes are actually BREMBO, but have PORSCHE on them.

Actually I was just giving the kid a hard time for calling boggtown a poser for wanting to put a Gemballa sticker on his Boxster. I know it's silly and I shouldn't stoop to his level.

Ahhh, I see. It's all good.

djomlas 03-09-2007 09:31 AM

good one.
theres an actual brembo embeded on the caliper itself, so i dont see why i cant put decals on the face of the calipers??
as for the emblem, when i got the car a part of B was missing, and i shaved it off, but when i took it off you can actually see where the emblem used to be from discoloration (it is a 98 afterall).
and for boggtown, i was actually agreeing that he can put that sticker on, i dont know how u got it confused, o well , its all one big family here
topless dancer ha?
