Applying Z2

When applying Z2 it the same as any other carnuaba right? Buff it on,wait 30 minutes to a hour for it to haze then wipe it off?

It can take quite a while for Z2 to dry depending upon the temperature and humidity. I always use it with the ZFX accelerator and then it will be dry to a slight haze in 1/2 an hour. You use very, very little to cover the boxter, about 2oz? If you put on too much it will take a long time to dry and remove.

Hey 1JB does the Z2 work well on the midnight blue. As in reduce small swirls. I have the same color as you and just wanted to know how it works.

I'll be reapplying Z2 to my car when the wether warms up out here. The Zaino website has some helpful info on application. This stuff is awsome!

I don't think Z2 is the best for removing swirl marks but I'm not sure because I don't have many it seems. I've used nothing but Z2 and Z6 during the summer and a waterless car wash and wax when it got cold just before I stored it for the winter and I don't notice swirls. Once you get them I think the Z5 is better for removing swirls. I do recommend the Z6 after putting on any of the Z products.

i applied 3 coats on mine, when doing it in sunlights it can haze up relatively fast, but i put a second coat on during the night, and left it for 4 hrs and it still didt haze up, then i went to sleep, woke up and whiped it off.
its actually muuuuuuch easier to put on and take off when compared to regular wax, thats why some people have countless layers. when i heard that people have over 15 layers i was like woa, but then when you put a coat on you will see why its so easy to do it.
applying a coat on should take you no more than 10 mins, and whiping it off about the same, its just that you have to wait for it to haze.
the results will be stunning

i even had compliments from Sal Zaino himself :)

mixing zanio products with other name brand waxes doesn't work well- This is stated from Zanio website. Not that I did mix/match.

I use strictly ZFX Zanio accelerator product and LOVE IT! The car looks awesome once it's all done.

do you just use Z2 and thats it? or do you also apply any wax on there?

When I use Zaino, I usually apply one day, and then remove the following morning. I have over 25 coats of Z2 and Z5 on 'er now.

im only at 3 now, will have to wait to see your car to see what 25 looks like, i need some inspiration hehehe

Once fall hit and it was too cold to wash the car I used the this waterless/wax product over a boatload of coats of Zaino and it worked very well. It is not for getting significant amounts of crud off your car though. I'll use this again in the spring until it's warm enough to wash the car then reapply Z2.

Speaking of spring this is a rough time of year. I haven't driven the Boxster in almost 2 months and I keep waiting for this crummy weather in the NE US to let up.
