fuel filler door not locking

I take it it's supposed to, but it doesn't.
How is this supposed to operate and does anybody know what the problem could be?

That happened to me, I just pulled it with my hands because it wasnt coming out far enough and it stayed. Maybe your has just been pushed back like mine was.

it locks when you arm your alarm.

Doors unlocked = fuel door unlocked

Doors locked = fuel door locked

happend to me too. the mechanic put a little rubber stopper over the clip at the end....if this make sense....it's where the lock part goes into but it keeps hitting the bottom or top of that piece. so you put a little piece of rubber to raise the lid back to the original height. hope you understood that...lol.

Thanks for the replies.

Roadster,
I saw the lovely $135 gas-cap post and I remembered I should address this part of the car. Let me look at it again. It's pretty cold here right now. I'll read your post again and I may take you up on the pics offer ;) I really do appreciate the effort!
