Awesome pics! A dad, his son and a Boxster....does it get any better? I cant wait for the weather to get warmer here so me and my son can do the same!

Very nice. I hope someday I can do that when I have kids.

geeze

I miss Cali!

I figured it out the other day, it's the roads. I miss driving in Cali, Bay Area. Here in NOVA, there are no real roads to get going on. At least in my near vicinity. When I lived in Cali, I had access to 680/280, 101 and 237, all within 10 minutes. Nice stretches of road, with semi-decent drivers.

If I moved back, I'd be jobless... But I could drive again! Maybe I'm bummed due to the winter here, I don't like driving in cold weather (starting the car, warming it up) I'd rather not drive, then to worry about starting a cold car, and to drive it on salt ridden roads...

Sorry for my rant...

But I really miss Cali... And your pics look great!
:'(

Also, the roads out here are horrible... Pothole heaven!

I was born in DC, raised in Va, lived in the Bay Area for around 12 years, now I'm back in Va...

@ unkle,

Please tell me you pulled along side the Carrera GT while driving to hear the engine. That engine just screams Porsche at it's finest!

Bavarian Motorist 02-17-2007 07:55 PM

WOW!

I would feel so outcasted in my little boxster next to those cars.

I probably wouldn't even be able to keep up!

unklekraker 02-17-2007 08:25 PM

thanks guys...that day was really awesome and the weather is perfect :)

yes it is indeed a priceless moment. that's his 2nd run already :)

if you look at the 2nd picture, that's the closest i've come to the Carrera GT, close enought to hear that engine roar like a jet

No Bav. Moto...they feel outcasted that's why they didnt park close to me :D

one thing......the turns that our Boxster could take is amazing!

Next stop = D/E on the 24th and AX on the 3rd of March @ Monster Park SF :D :D :D

Bavarian Motorist 02-17-2007 10:09 PM

:) Good luck man.

I have yet to take any real turns in my Boxster. I need to find a parking lot around here.

unklekraker 02-18-2007 06:37 AM

thanks B/M..I would need some luck convincing my wife for me to go D/E and AX :D

Nice pics! Great of you to spend quality time with your son! I wish more people did that these days. Looks like you're probably going to have an enthusiast on your hands!

You are right! I think it started on the first time I took him with me...hopeful when he reached the driving age, he would ask for a lesser, more affordable car first :D . Well, actually, he has no choice but to get a used, 4 cyl. 158 hp car

vijen6 02-19-2007 09:33 AM

nice pics man .. look like you both are having a great time with the car .. is the d/e && ax with pca? when did you sign up? i wanted in but those classes fills up quick !

unklekraker 02-19-2007 10:08 AM

yah, vijen...the D/E and the A/X are with the PCA...I'll go to the AX as a spectator not as a participant just to see hows the crowd and to get the feel of it. It got filled up easily :(

vijen6 02-19-2007 01:06 PM

yep .. i was going to join pca too until i saw the D/E full .. =T .. oh well .. always next year ..

hope your son knows how lucky he is to have an enthusiast dad !

Chills 02-19-2007 01:28 PM

Man UK, those are some great pics. The CGT is my "when I win the lotto" car. I'd have to get one in Forest Green Metallic, though. ;)

unklekraker 02-19-2007 02:23 PM

Im with you on that one, Chills but it's going to be some kind of deep red or blue :)

I would say that I'm lucky to be able to spend time with my son on an event like this one :)

bmussatti 02-19-2007 03:29 PM

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. These will be fun to look back on in about 10 years.
