What am I doing wrong with pics?

I have attempted to upload a picture with my post, only to get an error message that the pic file is too large. I have tha camera set on 2megxpix, and still the file is too large.

Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong?

Pictures need to be less than 1 meg. You need to resize the photo.

If tinypic is down you can use www.uplode.us and use the IMG tags.

I use a photo hosting/sharing site called Zoto.com. It's pretty slick. They recently upgraded paying memberships to 100GB of space! Yes ONE HUNDRED GIGA BYTES! (/Dr.Evil).

I can upload pictures in their original size, then go to the site, and view the information about the picture, and also view it in other sizes. I select the size I want (usually 800x600 for forum sharing) and then copy the URL for the image. Then use the [img] tags (or click the image button above) to post it.

VOILA, it works great!

You should be able to re-size these photos right on your camera.
