Unhappy '99 will not start

Hello everyone,

I just got a used '99 Boxster Tiptronic with about 44,000 miles on it. The car arrived with the engine light on, battery unhooked, and no gas in the tank. Once gas was added and the battery re-connected it was running fine though the engine light was still on. After a day of driving here and there (nothing excessive) it would not start again. The lights would come on, the stereo worked, the top was working but it just would not crank ...

I was looking online and it seems that there is a problem with Boxsters once their fuel tank is empty and there is an altitude change. So I dropped it at the dealer to take a look. I should find out tomorrow.

Has anyone else heard about the fuel issue?

Thank you in advance,

DB
