you guys think i can do this in one day?
so how long do you guys perdict this will take?
i just hit 60k the other day. im changing:
spark plugs
trans fluid
oil seperator
j-tube
accordian tube
serpentine belt
short throw shifter
possibly brake pads if they arrive in time
and heres a pic for those who click for pics only hehe

Don't fix them if they aren't broken. I just had to reput on the old style hose clamp on the accordian because the screw type one wasn't cutting it. It was a PAIN IN THE A55 to put on!
Other then that,the tranny fluid is all that is annoying/a pain,and that's because you have to find a way to fit the tranny fluid bottle where it needs to go to fill in the filler whole.

dj, your car looks mismatched with the spray painted headlights and the amber taillights, maybe you should repaint your taillights also.

mt tail lights are not amber. they are all red, its just the angle and lighting that makes it maybe look amber.

Speaking from recent experience, you can knock out the brake pads in probably less than two hours. I replaced all four pairs on my car recently, jacking one corner at a time, and it took about two hours. It was really easy...
... but I would suggest getting some of those blue rubber gloves. Brake dust will get all over your hands and under your fingernails, and it'll take a week to wash out!
The trans fluid might be a little tricky, but if you have the right tools, it won't be so bad.

I think you'd have to work pretty fast, regardless.

im installing b&m.
i like to do all my maintenence work if possible, so far this is what ive done in regards to other cars ive owned:
-tranny swap on a bmw
-t-tops conversion on camaro, involved sutting most of the roof off
nitrous kits of all sorts
rear end install
exhaust installs,
and then the general stuff like short shifters and tranny fluids and oil changes and intakes and whatever, and some custom interior stuff.
the only thing so far that ididnt do was some engine work regarding missfiring cylinder on my camaro couse i didnt have the tools, but yea...
so in general i am not afraid to do things and do things the way i like them

FYI to do the tranny fluid you need a huge 17mm hex key to get the filler plug off and a weird drain plug socket to get the drain plug off,I can't remember the specs to it.

hehehe, well i put the N2o on a camaro that was pretty much straight line car...i had it set up to 175hp. pushing the button wasnt really the same as they make it in the movies lol
but as for putting one on a boxster, i dont think i need that

I dont think itd be tooooo hard. Put in an adapter plate between the throttle body and put a 50 shot fogger on. Who knows? It might work... or might just over heat the front cylinders and melt the plugs... but thats unlikely...lol

Oh c'mon! Every one says the Boxster is underpowered... go small, just a little 50 to 75 shot or something. It'd put you in the Boxster S' HP territory. Put a small bottle in the back trunk and you wouldn't even need a bottle warmer as hot as our trunks get... Convinced yet? Aren't you the slightest bit curious about it performance effect?

well i havent even really tested the maximum power this car has yet, so i am a little curious to do drive it the way it is. i am saving up for a supercharger in the near future.
and just simply going to a boxster after driving a car w double the hp is an experience in itself
but you know, the cool thing about having a ZEX nitrous kit is that it only works at WOT, so u can pretty much have it on the whole time and only when u punch it is when you get the extra boost. you will also have to get different sparkplugs

Dj, I dont know how long that stuff will take you having done it all except the oil seperator I know its not too difficult. I do know you take nice pics!
