No I have the factory 5 spokes which are 21 pounds each, Ernies Alloys in Miami think I paid $1900. The replicas are sold in this auction onEbay I think Jeph and RandallNeighbohr said they are from a seller called wheel dynamics. About half the cost. I think they weigh a little more than factory. I was considereing picking up a set just for winter use for my winter tires and then keeping my factory set for the summer tires when I atuocross/track. But winter has taken the year off.

I thought I was gonna stop putting money into Porsches when I sold my 914. I think I have some sorta Porsche-disease. I just got my wife warmed up to the GT-3 makeover.

How in the world will I convince her that I need a $1000 wheel upgrade?? Perhaps I need to start a "tips for convincing the wife" thread.

well you can sell your stock wheels on Ebay to a 911 993 owner. I know the 17" Boxster wheels are popular with those guys. You might be able to get $400 if the stock wheels are in good shape so it would only be a $600 expense.

I can sympathize, I did a bunch of work to my old car and sold it only a few months after it was official 'done'. Some rabid car guy flew up to buy it and offered me a great price. So ther's somthing to be said about making your Boxster stand out amongst the sea of Boxsters for sale.

I'd do the wheels first. It's the most functional mod. Skirting next and the front bumper last.
