Underside oil leak from circular outlet
Can anyone please identify this outlet and why I have oil dripping from it? It's situated on the right hand rear of the engine underside close to the exhaust header/manifold.
Many thanks in advance. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1776519247.jpg |
I have now discovered that this item is the engines bottom timing chain tensioner (1of 3 on the engine), new seals are available for it but this one had a small hole corroded through the centre body of the assembly so I will replace it with a new component.
Many thanks |
They do have a different partnumber for MY99 onwards, be sure to get the right one.

Please remember that before you replace the O-ring on that tensioner, you will need to lock up the cams..
