Willing to trade wrench time for garage with lift time to work on my 2000 Boxster
Hey there Porsche forum people in Los Angeles. I am driving a 2000 Boxster these days that needs a few things. I have done a few things that don't really need the car up in the air but hesitate to do some other things like coolant hoses, Motor mount etc without a lift. If anyone in the Los Angeles area is willing to trade lift time for wrench time help from me to work on your project I am up for that. I can afford to take the car to a shop however some things are just stupid expensive and I would prefer and enjoy doing most of the work myself. Send me a private message if you are interested.

OK so I did the coolant hoses, drive belt, and brake fluid bleed without you.

A cheap way of getting increased access is to get a set of ramps and a sloped driveway. Drive the car onto the ramps and the combination of slope and ramps sticks the car up in the air. So your car doesn't press the ramp to slide down the driveway, put a chunk of 2by4 just in front of the ramp so the tire is a little elevated before it hits the actual ranp.
Many things can be done this way. |
