Cam deviation

I tested my cam deviation numbers on my 02 S using my Durametric. Bank 1 was like 7.8 and bank 2 4.3. I tested last year and I was running around 4 for both. Since then I’ve added 1500 miles so I’m a bit surprised it can swing that much. My oil filter that I did about 800 miles ago was spotless as they have all been since I’ve owned (2years). Is there anything else I should consider before I take to the shop? 4-5k will be a tough pill to swallow so I’m keeping figures crossed.
Info on car:
68k
Annual porsche Service up until I bought.
All last 5k miles.
IMs/clutch
Plugs/coils
Suggestions?
Thanks.

Was one of the measures taken when engine was not properly hot, driven approx 20min? If the engine is not properly hot, the camdeviation seems to show (at least on my M96) way off compared to measures from properly hot engine.

Thanks for responding. Yes, I tried multiple times, one after a 1/2 hour drive. I guess I’m calling the indie.

Spoke to mechanic (porsche gold tech). His response was no light, don’t worry about it. He would drive if his car.
I guess I’ll just monitor, enjoy and start putting money aside and hope I can go another 10k (5 years).
