'04 986S Shifter Cable and Bushings Replacement

Anyone have this work done on their car? I was just quoted $3400 to replace these items and I think I am being taken advantage of.

Price is a bit much, but you need to understand that there is a considerable amount of labor in routing the cables from under the console to the rear of the car; a lot of things, like some of the interior, has to be taken out and put back in when the cables are replaced.

I think I was quoted about $1k in labor to replace the cables in the SF Bay Area. For sure $3.4K is way over the top.

There are a lot of diy videos showing how to remove the center console and adjust the cables. There are a few showing how to replace the cables. I plan to do my own when I change the clutch.
