Temp increase when using Tiptronic manually

97' Base 2.5 TIP, with new low temp thermo, water pump, and fresh coolant. And had a thorough distilled water flush when the work was performed.

I've noticed that when driving in manual mode, there is a slight temperature increase, maybe 10-15 degrees on my gauge as opposed to when in fully auto mode. Fully auto it's always exactly at the 180 mark. And it never gets any hotter than the 10-15 over 180.

Thank you for any thoughts.
