Left Brake light out, bulb and fuse OK

My left brake light is out.

I get a warning message as soon as I turn the key on (no need to press the brake). The bulb and fuse tested OK, but I replaced them anyway. I tried to pry up a bit on the center contact for the bulb, no luck there. The right and center brake lights work, so it's not the brake light switch. The rear fog lights work (same fuse, different bulb) so the fuse has power.

I see a few other people have reported this problem, but nobody posted that their problem was fixed, or what they tried.

I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

What car is this? I am having this same issue with my 2006 Boxster base.
I am leaning towards the rear control module that is under the seat of the 987.1. I dont seem to be getting the right voltage out. I have a replacement module from Specialized ECU.

My light comes on for 1 second then goes off. It is only happening with my parking lights that have 3 bulbs. It is not happening with any other lights in the unit.

I did the following troubleshooting:
- Swap bulbs from other light
- Send direct 12v power to wire from the rear control module side and lights gets turned on

I am leaning towards something in the module going bad.
