986 Air module question

I purchased my O2 Boxster S at the auction. It was involved in a light front end collision that deployed both driver and passenger side airbags. The original airbag module stated that both airbags needed to be replaced and the driver side seat belt buckle tensioner was bad.

I replaced all three of those items. Got a used airbag module from a 02 Boxster that was not involved in an accident , cleared it with my new Durametric and then new codes appeared stating that both driver and passenger side airbag impact sensors needed to be replaced and the passenger side tensioner buckle needed to be replaced also. At first I thought the airbag module came from a car that was involved in a collision. So I got another one from the local Porsche used parts place, that they let me take off of a car that was not hit in an accident. I installed that airbag module and the same three codes appeared again. Both impact airbag impact sensors and the passenger side seat belt buckle tensioner .

Is it just as simple as I need to replace those three other things also, then clear it again and I should be good to go? Or does my airbag module need to be programmed with the VIN number from my car? Any advice would be appreciated. I was wondering if any of you guys ran into the same thing when trying to fix your cars.

Thanks,
Ted

Here is some background info on the Airbag function. Based on the info below it sounds reasonable to replace the sensors and the tensioner as the airbag module is seeing a fault.

The main question, even if it seems stupid, is whether the sensors (not the airbags!) have also been replaced ...
