Fuel gauge & wiper bottle indicator

Fuel gauge has stopped working and washer bottle light is on.

Probably an electrical issue just wondering where to start. Have checked fuses

Any advice would be appreciated

Need to check your wiring for the fuel sender and washer bottle. They are on the same side of the car. Your wiring could have degraded or a rodent.

Yep exactly right. Had a rat in by the looks of it.

Managed to get a wiring diagram & the 2 wires have been eaten through but can’t see where the other end of the wires are.

They are yellow/violet & Violet. The fuel sender & washer bottle wires as per wiring diagram

Also have a Brown & yellow/ brown wires coming from right side under bonnet which have been eaten & can’t see the other end.

Unfortunately unable to load pics.

Thanks,

Have it sorted now. Found the missing wires, they were eaten down to a grommet
