Car beeps when locking by Key fob

I have read that this indicates a senor failure;
Doors
Frunk
Trunk
Top
Cubby between seats.

How can I figure out which one if any?

BTW, the board under the seat was sent to Specialized ECU repair, any thoughts there?

Thanks,
DCM

Scan the car with a Porsche specific scan tool, the last 10 alarm faults are stored in the system.

Well frunk/trunk would have a light on the dash if theyre open or thought to be. Either door would probably cause issues with the windows not raising all the way. I don't think top down would cause a beep since you can lock your car with the top down, so probably the cubby.

Is this car you new to you ? or did the problem recently start ? the switch for the centre cubby is often disconnected intentionally . This provides the beep .. feedback to the owner that the car is indeed locked.

I believe a single beep is that something is open and a double beep is that there is a fault.

why anyone would do this idk. nothing i personally hate more than the car beeping at me, although maybe thats from the trauma i endured on the unlock-double beep for a broken door handle mechanism

Feed back on questions

I have owned the car since May of 2004.

I think that the beeping stated when Specialized ECU repair proved me with a new immobilizer board (under the seat) I send them the ECU, immobilizer board and keys. This was many years ago. They told me the beep was normal?

The car does lock all doors and Trunk frunk.

My Acton scanner does not seem to be able to tell me anything.

Except for this issue, she is a no stories car with a lot of prior receipts.

I have no clue as to whether the alarm works.

This is the only thing that bugs me and I have time to figure it out.

Thanks David

Does it beep once or twice?

That's because your scanner is a cheap "global" OBD II scanner, and not Porsche specific.........
