original CDR 220 Radio intermittent problem in 2001 986
 

My 2001 986 has the original CDR-220 radio. It will come on when the key is turned to 'on' but once the car starts, it goes off. Occasionally, while driving, the radio unit will power back on.

I cannot find any rhyme or reason for the intermittent problem. Obviously the radio works when the battery is on, but once the engine is running, it goes off again.
