986 rear shelf compartment with sound package '99

Hey,

does anybody know if there is a different part number for the rear compartment shelf thingy if you have the factory installed sound package (6speaker set up)?

I have a crappy subwoofer installed in the middle compartment and would like to remove it and return the storage option.

Or can you just repurchase the doors?

Regards

Dennis

I can’t see a way that the doors are available, as there is no way to readily replace them. One of mine had gotten stuck a few years back, and I tried to figure out how to access the mechanism. That simply didn’t appear possible without going in a direction which would have caused more damage than it would have cured. I did finally discover that brute force was the answer, at least in my case.

It will probably be your best bet to source a used one and, if needed, add the speaker kit to it.

Alright cheers, there is probably a hole under the whole subwoofer anyways, so I’ll just get a new storage compartment and maybe move the speakers to the new one, I’ll figure something out.

Thanks!
