986 Forum - The Community for Porsche Boxster & Cayman Owners - Making Oil

I am curious about the behavior of the oil level sensor in my 2001 Boxster 2.7l.
From time to time I get a short count down and indication of overfilled:

I plugged in a code reader and cycled the key and long count down ~9 minutes

At the end of the long count down I got a one bar down from full level.

When I check with the dipstick it is full but not overfull.
Has anyone else seen results like this?
