bonnet opening

sorry for the new thread for what is probably a popular topic...

my bonnet was accidentally closed with the battery disconnected...
IT is a RHD 02 car....

I have taken Driver side wheel arch liner and now Passenger side liner out..
and for the life of me cannot find the pull cable to open it...

any descent description of the location or a photo..

Many thanks

Outside now as it isn't raining...

If you can't find it there it's mean two things.

Previous owner rerouted the cable to front bumper , check if you can see any cable sticking out near radiator.

If not you need to take out light , cable is normally located between light and frunk. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c204c22d7f.jpg

I have always read that there was a pull cable inside the wheel arch??
How do you remove the headlight ? from inside the wheel arch??

I have heard many peopel changle the cable location but I brought the car with about 2000miles from new so don't think anything has been changed...
it is a 2.7 I believe 2.5 and 3.2 may be different...

and to remove the headlight I believe I need access to inside the trunk

This should not work...

I know on 2.7 Boxsters there is the little tab in the fuse box...
this should not work if the battery is dosconnected... but.....

connected another battery and alarm goes off...
but as I had just had the batteries replaced in the fobs... I tried and err it stopped and the bonnet opener worked...

Now where is this cable and where can I reroute it to so it is easier for me to know where it is

I have 3.2 then I'm not 100% sure if it's this same or not.

If you can't find a cable when you remove the wheel arch , it's not visible then other option it's to remove light.

You don't need actual access to frunk to remove light.

You need a long flat piece of metal which you need to insert under your light and twist to one of the sides to release your headlight.

There was some video on internet as this lights where prone to be stolen very easy as they are on track and lock it's easy to be released.

Czesc.

Did you open it?

There is a way - feed power via cigarette lighter. Ensure you are limiting voltage and current as otherwise you will blow the fuse.
If you use a battery charger, monitor the voltage as without the battery in, the charger may climb too high and fry your electronics.
Then release the hood, or frunk.

Or, when connecting the battery via the red pull tab in the fuse box - pull the tab all the way out and insert the key into ignition. Car freaks out as it thinks it is being stolen.
