Radio Removal Keys
 

Working on a project I removed the 1 din radio with the removal keys. I am unable to remove the keys from the face of the radio. I'm afraid to force them and risk breaking the plastic front.

Is there a trick to removing the keys?

The removal of the keys is towards the end of the video. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, there are plastic tabs on the side of the radio you can push/ pull whatever and the keys should come out.

-Next Question-

I ordered the BTR-2 Bluetooth retrofit kit from Pelican. Installation all seemed straightforward enough.

However- one of the T-Tap electrical connectors broke trying to attach it. Unable to find a replacement at the local hardware store, I soldered the power converter wires where the T-Taps went. I was able to pair my phone and connect Bluetooth but volume was very low then it disconnected.
Now I've got no power to the USB port.
I cannot figure out why. Have I fried something?

to add some clarification - There isn't just no power at the USB. There isn't any power at the solder connection. (actually @.2v). But the stereo works in radio mode.
If the orange & brown wires are the main power source for the radio unit and I can't measure voltage there, why would it work at all?

I was able to get it powered up by plugging the Bluetooth module into a USB port in the cigarette lighter plug

I've found the orange wire (power from the ignition) has no power. The red/black wire (always hot) does have power, so the stereo always has power.
Don't think I want to connect it to the red/black-always on
