battery ground disconnect

It has been suggested that when doing electrical work, that the ground cable from the battery be disconnected before doing said work. What, if anything must be re-programmed when the cable is re-connected? 2002 986

I've done this many times ('01S). The only thing I've had to do when re-connecting is to input the radio code. Everything else sorts itself out on its own..

On my 2002 I always have to reset the clock. You might also have to reset the window full up calibration. It's hard to tell if that gets messed or not.

It depends on how long it’s disconnected. But clock, radio code, and window auto up/down calibration.
