Noisy AC and engine surge

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the 986 community. I own a 981 GTS but I recently bought a 2000 base for my son. Together we want to add some TLC to the car.

Recently we ran in to a problem with the AC. It does run and cool. But when starting up there is a high pitched squeal. It looks like it comes from under the dashboard. I did check the fan under the glove box, but that is not the problem. Listen here: https://youtube.com/shorts/j-6AHxjcvvo

Probably related, but not 100% sure. After a short time, the engine starts to surge. RPM drops a little bit and comes back every few seconds. This happens when idling, but also when the engine is under load while driving. Listen and see here: https://youtube.com/shorts/DmzdqEg3HRo

Anyone had this same problem and can point me out where to start? My first thought was refilling and start from there.
