Tiptronic malfunction
 

2004 2 7 Boxster. .Wasnt ran for 2 + years. Battery tender failed to keep voltage up. Battery replaced. Once around block, everything ok. Week later took out and check engine light on as well as Tiptronic dash I dictator flashing 4 and D. Shifts through 4th gear, doesn't seem to go into 5th. Other then the lack of 5th gear, seems to run ok.

Any ideas?

Need a diagnosis for the CE light, and do NOT drive the car until a mechanic checks the tranny.
Flashing 4 and D is bad juju for boxster transmissions.
