Frunk light microswitch
Danged if I can find it. Maybe I'm going blind.

It is built into the latch assembly....................

"Will bulb's Off status be Activated if hood is closed but not 100% latched?" Generally speaking, you are correct by engineering design. That said, you can always disconnect plug at latch and thus proverbially short circuit if there should be issues w latch switch at that location. Good luck :) |
Yes, I definitely need to rephrase my question. Here goes: If the hood is closed, but not latched, does the frunk light remain on? The reason I ask, it's a pain to uncover the car to gain access to the lever on the door sill to open the frunk. If the hood is closed, but not latched, I can simply lift the front of the cover, trip the latch lever, and I'm in. A good plan, but only if the hood doesn't need to be tightly closed and latched to shut off the light. I considered asking someone to shut me inside the frunk so I could see for myself, but something about that plan bothered me.
