Sorry about that incident ... most guys in Detroit just wave, honk, or give me a thumbs-up.

On a lighter note: An American, Canadian, and Brit were in a bar. They each ordered a draft beer. It was hot and the flies were all over the place. Immediately a fly lands in the Brits' glass; he stares with disgust and pushes it away. The American gets a fly, kind of shrugs, picks it out and continues on. The Canadian, with a fly, looks at his beer, picks out the fly and says: "Spit it out you little bastard".

:-)

That is a good joke! Thanks

That bumpers pretty ricery, but the lip makes it unbearable. I liked the one pic with the bumper and the normal lip. One time I had some African americans in a big black SUV driving beside me and yelled at me, they said they wanted to buy my car, so I said 20,000, they said OK and held up the most gigantic roll of 100's ive seen in my life. Needless to say I just turned at the next street, but damn they had some bling (chains, grills, grills for the SUV, chrome 22's, big subs, and a white girl driving them around). Amazing how different 2 situations can be that started the same.

Guess i'm having fresh fish for supper tonight :p

Thank you for acknowledging that you're the jerk. :D :D :D

hey cartagena i read one of your posts, and apparently you are born and raised in canada. how dare you insult your homeland, pretty low, you pretty much are making fun of yourself...hhaahaha.

vigen6 glad to see that you survived. that's one crazy story, you should of got the licence plate...

cartagena 12-09-2006 09:02 PM

I left Canada because I did not want to live under communist rule anymore. I have not insulted Canada, I have only stated some cold hard facts that Canadians do not like to hear.

I made these comments a long time ago. And yet, these whining Canadians keep bringing them up in this forum, again and again. For instance, Franco felt compelled to talk about me in this thread even though I said nothing about Canada here. I, however, would expect no less whining from someone who lives in Quebec.

I do not consider myself Canadian anymore as it is too painful to remember the living in that horrible socialist nightmare world. My ancestors comes from Britain and Germany so I like to think of Canada as an accident that happened to my family for over a 100 years.

Today's Joke:

Q: What is the difference between a Canadian and a canoe?

A: A canoe tips!

well after the post that you just put up. looks like you haven't lost your whining ways.

holy cow

Boy, where to begin.

Bruce lee, once again please don’t delete this. You’d only be fueling pot-stirrers of polical correctness. I agree with everything you say about hyphenated racial characteristics in addressing race in this country. It doenst matter. In fact I find it ridiculous. But just remember the thread started with this:

This story involves 4 cop cars, a fence jump, 3-4 african americans with a possible gun, a light pole, and last but not least, my porsche. Just need some drugs content and a few females and this could be a block buster movie.

Followed by this:

Hummm African Americans involved in a crime..are you sure? according to Reverend Al they don't do such things, they just get bad press from the Po Po.

Followed by this:

I am sure they were just fine young men who wanted to possess something the white man stole from their ancestors. Thousands of years ago they were all kings and queens who probably had their own car very similar to today's Porsche.

Then Grizz posted this:

This thread is well on its way to being deleted by the forum Police. Please be careful gentlemen, so I can learn what actually happened to the car.

Followed by a modicum of reason by this:

wow who cares what colour they were, and where they came from and where they went......not one of you asked the guy if he was okay! hope you are okay vijen6, don't worry about the car, it can be fixed. please do fill us in. looks like some guys tried to steal the ride, but also seems like they got caught.

Grizz then opined that we need the facts. But I submit that it doesn’t even matter. Who cares if his white porsche was destroyed by the criminal agency of black men? Is his car any less damaged? No.The point is: who is the progenator of hyphens and color/race on this thread? Obviously race still matters to some. Hell, they damaged his car!!!

Finally, after all the debate, hoopla, anger and stats, we still heard this:

4 angry 'african american' dressed in 'gangster thug' style road raging. Trying to run me off the road. Possible gun in the back. I'm by myself. **************** that.. ……The ranking officer on scene sat on me on the sidewalk like I was a Mexican about to be deported.

I find this incredulous, but hey, the RX/Mustang/Rvand other dotcoms have gotta be laughing about who really lurks in the dark corridors of 986 Forum.
Finally, let me quote Grizz: I'm very disappointed. . . .
I’ll leave this dead horse to be beaten. . . . .. .

cartagena 12-10-2006 02:42 PM

So what we have here is a group of black men attacked a white forum member while he was harmlessly driving around in his Porsche. That seems to be an accurate description of the events and I see no reason why we should not describe it as such.

Problem is you cannot say the truth anymore because you might offend the gangster blacks, the Canadians (especially the humorless french ones) or even the Cubans which is incredibly ironic since Cubans openly distinguish themselves from one another by about 10 different shades of pigmentation.

Mamma mia ma che stanno dicendo questi ragazzi. :)

Je ne comprend pas ce qui se passe ici.

Brucelee 12-10-2006 03:59 PM

These posts are fascinating, so many point of views and ways of describing an event.

I have to say, if I saw four young men dressed in "gangsta" style clothing in a large SUV motioning ME to stop, I would NOT do so and assume the worst; better to be safe than sorry. So, I live and I MIGHT be assuming guilt where there is none. So be it.

Again to me, it is not the skin pigment, it is the total package. Guys who dress in "gangsta fashions" simply give me the whillies and make me want to find a better place to be. White, black or tan pigment, I am out of there when the rest of the package is present.

If four guys in Brooks Brothers suits motioned to me, I might feel totally the other way. Likely I would.

Does that make me a "clothes bigot?" I think so. It also is driven by my survival instincts which try to alert me to when there is danger, when there is not.

Do men who where this garb statistically represent a greater degree of danger. I THINK so, if you believe the news reports we see every day.

Lastly, what is fascinating is that virtually every news report of crime in the USA starts with the color of the suspects skin, ie, four white men or four black men were arrested today. They COULD just say four teenagers or four men in their twenties, etc. but they don't.

Could it be that the news media are closet bigots? Or, just reporting the more obvious elements of how you describe someone to the police for example?

What say you, are we being LED to this type of communication by our news media types?

[QUOTE=Brucelee]These posts are fascinating, so many point of views and ways of describing an event. QUOTE]

I think they are fascinating too because it brings out the closet racists :D At least now I know who I'm dealing with...I don't judge anyone for crossing the street when they feel threatend. Good for them and everyone else for staying alive. I judge people by the disparaging comments that they make.

And I have no issues with the use of African-American. My issue is the comments that were made, but you lose some you win some.

And to vijen6, for this comment "The ranking officer on scene sat on me on the sidewalk like I was a Mexican about to be deported" I am completly thrilled you wrecked your car. And I'm glad the officers didn't believe your story as it is totally unfounded and you maybe were just drunk driving. Too bad you didn't knock some sense into your head when you hit the pole :D

Got to love the free expression! Learn something new everyday.

Super66, if I offended you with my comment, i apologize.

I was merely trying to describe my feeling at the time. My obvious embarrassment. Perhaps it was not express with the best choice of words, or perhaps your brand of humor is not the same as mine.

Lets drop the topic of race all together.

I'll make another topic to seek help on bumper fitments and such.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THEIR KIND WORDS AND CONCERN!!

Its much appreciated.

Now, that would be funny to see!

Funny, really, Brucelee? I'm disappointed in you. I think this board is going downhill fast. Too many immature points of view. And no, Vijen, I don't believe your story either. Learn to drive. Stay away from light poles, and also maybe thugs in SUVs. If there was an SUV involved at all, you probably cut them off and they were ticked. Your attitude reeks with your own self acknowledged superiority.

Hit and Run

My aunt who is a doctor was on her way to visit me when a car with 3 black youths hit her car from behind. Her car's rear end was badly damage and luckly she was unhurt. The black youths who hit her car jolted!
She called me from her cell phone and I drove to pick it her up. I notice there was a NYPD car infront of Macdonalds so I ran there to inform the cops. When I walked into Macdonalds I notice there were two black youths laying on the floor handcuffed. I don't what happen in Macdonalds but this was another crime commited.
I told the cops what happend they called for backup and 10 min later the cops arrived and wrote up a report. It appears the car that hit my aunt's was a stolen car from CT.

My best friend is a NYPD cop and he can write a book about crimes in NYC.

if you want bumper fitment advice, dont get fiberglass..., Mine fits fine, but its not as easy to put on as OEM

Thumper 12-11-2006 08:13 AM

Old Man Riverrrrrrrr

That Old Man Riverrrrrrr

Just keeps rollin' alonggggggg

I get really tired of how dominant the Politically Correct thing has become, and just how militant some can be in its defense. :ah: :ah: :ah:

Sorry about your wreck. Now would be a great time to go with the GT3 bumper. Get the OEM one. They are pretty reasonable on eBay. You can also find the stock bumper cover there as well.

986Roadster 12-11-2006 11:34 AM

i couldnt agree more with you thumper. its not about being defensive. more about why someone would comment on the colour of skin, and over look the fact that the guy got into an accident. instead, they decided to make smart ass comments in regards to african americans, which had nothing to do with the accident. the story is no different if it was a bunch of white guys or black guys, he still would of tried to get away. just some "jerks" who decided to pick up on the fact that they werent surprised that it was done by a specific race.

Sammy 12-11-2006 12:04 PM

Sorry to hear about your car. My experience has been that an insurance company will pretty much tell you to go pound sand if you don't have a police report filed.

"African Americans... In SAN JOSE!!!! maybe they were Michael Jacksons house sitters."

I just think none of this is necessary......I wouldn't be happy reading it about my peeps.....

Why cant i make light of the subject of the geographical locations of where african americans may or may not live.

Im Spanish and Irish and I hear Black comedians make light of how many burritos I eat in a day, how many of my relatives live in one house,How any of us fit into a volkswagon beetle and how much I drink tequila and walk around in "chanklas" sandals. Loads and Loads of stereo types and im fine with it and they area funny too and i laugh at them.

But im sure your ok with racial jokes from black comedians because you have this guilt issue about slaverary so you let it slide, although you werent alive in that era. You probably feel the need to cry racisizm everytime you hear a black joke. Well I dont get offended when i hear irish or spanish/mexican jokes and neither should anyone else just as long as they arent hateful messages disguised as a joke.

By your definition of racisit, 85% of black comedians are racisit cause majority of black comedian material consists of making fun of other races... and they are funny as hell, ie: dave chappel... must be the black-KKK poster child by super66 definition of racisim!
