Manual Top operation Question
 
Hey Gang,..I had to put my top in manual mode,( popped off the connecting rod's)..But now I can't get the back section to go into the maintenance position, P.O. put a new glass window top on it ,But I could always get it to fold up now..Not so much, and I dont want to force it into position,..? any help would be Great..! Thank's Frank

Sorry 02' Boxster...and its a 2002 top frame, so it's hard to retract anyway,..but now it's even harder to position..Thank's !

Sorry if I'm not understanding your question completely but when I replaced my top with a glass window version it will definitely not raise up as far as the plastic window. This does limit access somewhat and makes it a little more of a challenge to work on but it will still raise up.

I recently lost my transmission gears and converted it to manual operation until I can get around to replacing them but I can still get the top in service mode. I don't know of anything that would restrict your ability to raise the window just because you removed the rod linkage.

Thank's Jgkram,..Iam not sure what Iam missing..I just cant seem to fold it up higher than I use to,I for one would rather have the plastic window in this instance..or maybe I should get a 03' frame and install the top the way it should have been..Thank's for the info !! Frank
