Is the 986 in any racing sims?
Hey guys, I've been thinking about this a lot and I'm coming up short. Are there any decently modern racing/driving sims that have the 986 in them? If not, are there any games that have a 986 mod pack or something like that that I could download?
I'm not a super serious sim racer, my racing rig is made out of wood and is not structurally sound, but I'd love to be able to throw down a few extra laps when I have the time. |
A 986 Boxster, labeled as a Ruf 3400S, is available in the modern (as of 20 years ago) PS2 game "Gran Turismo 4". Personally, I think it's more fun to drive the real thing then to play the game, maybe because I don't crash as often...

986 sim?
Have looked at sim setups over the 11 years since I got my 986S & started doing DEs. Got cheapo wheel & pedals but no 986 for the Rocky Mountain Region home track, only weird things like a Mustang & an old F1 (which I crashed repeatedly).
Now with “affordable” seat/stand setups & monitors it sounds like a good idea again, since it did help me learn the track. And since I got to drive Sonoma (in a class) I’d like to re-live that at home. Anyone have suggestions for a sim site that offers a 986S on High Plains Raceway? |
