Mayonnaise on Coolant - Oil Cooler ?
Hello Folks! Long time no see
Problem has already been discussed here quite some times, strong presence of mayonnaise inside the coolant . Ill start with removing the oil cooler and checking for internal mixing, since there is no external leaking (seems that rubber seals are "fine"). The question is - can this be done without draining the coolant ? Eventually ill drain it - and change oil too - but can i just remove and test the cooler prior to the drain ? Regards  |

In most cases of intermix the problem will turn out to be a cracked head, especially in 2000 models. I actually did have one that was bad O-rings on the oil cooler though. Hoping for the best. |

Thanks for the fast reply! :):) Okay - ill try to lower the coolant level somehow before trying. In any case, ill take the chances and proceed with it as it. My model is a 2004 2.7L one. Lets hope for the best  In case there is a cracked head, any cost estimation available ? :D:rolleyes: |
