2003 Boxster amplifier male plug
A tricky question...
I am installing a AA/CP 2-DIN unit. I need to bypass the OEM amplifier. Part number 996 645 331 01 I do not want to splice wires, so I thought I would get a male plug (like the one on the amplifier) and simply create a harness. If it was ever needed, I can just disconnect it and revert to previous state. Any clue what is the plug type? Like the radio has ISO plugs, maybe the amplifier has a some kind of standard plug as well. Thanks for help. Oh, and l looked on eBay and I may just get some used amplifier and just re-use the plug from it. Yet, maybe there is a cheaper solution, like the plug itself. Thanks in advance. P.S. I looked up a similar question on Renntech. It seems it is a dead end street.... but maybe something changed over the years. |
I'm pretty sure that between the Audis and Porsches I've scrapped I have an amp with that connector. I'll check tonight.

Yeah, that's the route I took... I found a cheap amp on eBay to sacrifice it. 20 bucks is not cheap plug, but much easier to work with than splicing 9 wires.
How much you'd like for yours? |
All the amps I found tonight were BOSE with a different connector. Slight chance there's still one like you need in an Audi TT I can look through tomorrow evening.
