Your thought on an oil leak.

I have owned the car 5 months. Changed oil 200 miles ago with new filter. I have talked to a previous owner that had the car 10 years and 10k miles. He had put a clutch and IMS oil bath kit on the car. Surely a new rear main seal was installed at that time. Hoping I just need an oil pan gasket.
It is not bad but should not be there. There is a bit of spark plug tube oil but not much. What started this was oil on the ground that turned out to be a transmission mount leak.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1685223805.jpg

Given your short ownership, I'd think cleaning the area and driving the car would be your best bet to determine where the oil is coming from.
In the mean time, go ahead and replace spark plug O-rings and tubes, check oil filter housing tightness along with drain plug.

You might try hosing the whole thing down with brake cleaner until it's pretty clean, and then drive it a little, and see if you can spot where the oil is coming from then, when it's not just coating everything.

A leak at whatever seals that IMS bearing doohickey is also a possibility.

I would use a foaming engine cleaner designed for the task. You rinse it off with a hose.
