Vin# and years…

Since I’m buying an early 97/98 I began to dig deep into vins. But I do have a few questions.
Right after VS (1997) and WS (1998) there is a 62XXXX.
Then I found some Euro samples that had it as:
60XXXX
So I take it 62 is for export to US/Canada and 60 is for the Euro and surrounding area markets.
So were there any other designations?

Next Q. is the XXXX.
So if a car is say VS620111 does that mean the car was the 111th car built off the assembly line in 1997? Or was there also a VS600111 when they were building cars for EU on a particular week?
