986 wet compression test practicality
 
Is it practical to perform a wet compression test on a 986 Boxster due to the horizontal orientation. if so, any recommendations on how to effectively squirt oil into the cylinder to properly line the cylinder wall. I don't want to start and warm the engine because there is a coolant leak in one of the cylinders.

This in not particularly necessary for running a compression test, but if you insist you can use what is called "fogging oil" spray in each cylinder while it is at BTC:

The oil you put in there will be distributed throughout the ring/cylinder seal when as the piston moves. If you're concerned ensure the pressure has stabilized (as the oil disperses) prior to accepting a reading.
