Length of the standard lug bolts?
 

I need to find out what the length of the standard lug bolts on my Boxster?

I'm planning to put 7mm spacers on my rear wheels and need to find out what length lug bolts I would require?

45mm Standard
+7=52mm
This is the place I got mine (23mm for rear with E65 offset wheels)

Also, you will need to take off the rounded bolt shoulder from your existing wheel bolt and put on the new bolts

Why don't you get the Porsche 5mm spacers that come complete with the longer wheel bolts. Like this:

I'm buying this wheel and tire package which includes the mounting/balance, lug bolts, valves and shipment to my home for $1812.00

The wheels are ROH Drift R which are a nice clean one piece design with no rivets (easy to clean), nice polished lip and silver center to match my Arctic Silver exterior of my Boxster.

18 x 8 (50mm offset) with 2" polished lip
18 x 10 (52mm offset) with 3" polished lip

I'm getting H&R DR spacers for the rear, hence the need for longer lug bolts (45mm + 7mm = 52). This should put rear wheels at an offset of 45mm.

The tires are Toyo PROXES T1R

225/40/YR 18
265/35/YR 18

Let me know what you think and if there any issues with the rear offsets.

Forgive me, but what is the purpose of having spacers? Is it to give the car a wider wheel base? If so, why? Is it just aesthetic or does it impact performance.

In my case the rear ROH Drift R wheels with an offset of 52mm would interfere with my rear struts. The 7mm spacer would push it out to about a 45mm offset.

To answer your question, I believe it would be both in terms of both looks and possibly handling.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Ya, its for clearence. Also a little better handling, theoretically.

And it has the nice side effect of wearing out bearings quicker.

Duster, do you still have ur boxster? How did you like those wheels? I'd like to see how it looks if possible.
