Removing pin connectors for rewiring litronic headlight adjustment plug.
 

How do I remove these wires? I thought pushing a tool into the holes released them but not seeming to work, opinions?

Using the correct pin tool that looks like a small flat blade, insert the blade into the slots beside the pin (could be either one, so try both slots), depress the small tang, and the pin will come out,

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. I seem to be using the correct side pin tool but they dont want to let go. 😭

Maybe corroded, I would try some Deoxit spray on the pins.

The wiring looks totally disintegrated. :confused:

For shure this are standard connectors that can be removed with a matching pin out tool.

Pretty shure there are similar tools available in the US.

Did that but I think I was just being too soft on them or it took both. It takes some pressure.

Normal crappy Porsche 986 headlight wiring insulation. If you dont mind another question. What type connectors would you use to connect these wire to the old wires? The will be shrink tube insulated when done. Thx

Solder, then heat shrink.....

Did you try to remove the pins from the front? In general they are locked from the front and you'll need a pin out tool that fits

Sometimes they are locked from the rear side, where the yellow seals are. If you aren't successful from the front, try to unlock them from the rear side. If you have one out you'll see how the locking mechanim works.

Sometimes they are locked on both sides. In that case you'll need a special tool:
