My recently acquired 2001 Boxster S passed it's inspection by the shop with flying colors. Being an ex HPDE car for the last two owner, I was holding my breath for the phone call telling me I was going to need $$$$$ worth of work to get it in top shape....Instead, a gas cap replacement, blend door foam, and a storage panel replacement, and the car was back in my hands.....Today, while the sun was out, and I had the spare time, a beautiful ride in the country was marred by a slow entrance to the gas station, where a light bottoming out occurred.....Reviewing the specs on the car, and taking the usual measurements from center wheel arch to ground, I came up with the following:
25.25" or 641mm front
25.50" or 647mm rear
I believe this too be a little on the low side for the street, even with the Custom-valved, Motion Control coilovers, along with the Rennline front camber plates, and Ultra Performance rear offset camber plates.
Curious to know what ride height everyone else is using for their car (stock 17" rims). Stock, modified, something in between????
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Bill S.
